“Project Kanto” -ink and colored pencil on paper (6/28/2018)
After graduating high school, I wanted to make a larger scale artwork paying homage to my favorite multimedia franchise, Pokemon! So, I created a poster of the original 151 Kanto native Pokemon! The colorful franchise has always been a point of inspiration for me, and continues to show through in my art to this day!

“The Legend” -digital, MS Paint (5/17/2018)
Originally, this piece started as me wanting to make The Triforce from The Legend of Zelda. I did this out of boredom. Then, I made the loftwing emblem around it, again to cure boredom. As I kept going, I found myself getting lost in the artistic process. I would continue to add one element after another, spending hours upon hours getting just the right colors into just the right spots. Then, I learned that the shieka runes from the game Breath of The Wild were directly translatable into english and went absolutely wild. Every character throughout the background and boarder were painstakingly translated and placed manually. In the end, the design evolved to become an homage to a beloved gaming franchise, referencing every entry up through Breath of The Wild. Furthermore, this artwork marks the day that I fell in love with pixel art as a medium.

“Magical Mirai 2021” -digital, Procreate for iPad (2/6/2025)
After being a fan of Hatsune Miku for years, I decided to look into her canon designs and figure out what my favorite outfit of hers was. Once I found out about the Magical Mirai collection, I fell in love with the vibrant colors and whimsical flow of their 2021 dress design. The roses within the skirt and vibrant gradient work in the hair inspired a work of art from me. Truly, a joyful muse for a fun work of art!

“POSEIDON” -digital, Procreate for iPad (3/4/2025)
Inspired by Jorge Rivera-Herrans’s “EPIC: The Musical”, I created my own original design for the Greek god of the seas, Poseidon! I picture him dawning a shipwreck as a trifold hat, and draping himself with crashing waves and discarded sails. His skin is textured as marble in reference to acient statues depicting the members of the Greek pantheon. Overall, I had fun with the piece and went on to create my own designs for Zeus and Cerce as well, but of the three, this is the one I feel the most proud of!

“Nostalgia in Flight” -digital, Procreate for iPad (7/5/2023)
Ever since I was 6, Pidgeot has been my favorite Pokemon. I wasn’t very good at reading, so my older siblings helped me start my first game. They started me off with a Pokemon and I was greatful, but it wasn’t one that I chose. Pidgey on the other hand, was the first Pokemon I ever chose to have. I caught the little bird Pokemon , evolved it into a Pidgeot, and beat the game with him on my team. This piece is a tribute to the Pidgeot that started it all for me; my special interest in Pokemon, which would go on to further develop my creativity and foster growth in my artistic pursuits.

“Nectra” -digital, Procreate for iPad (8/15/2022)
Nectra is a Dungeons and Dragons character created by a friend of mine named Aria. She commissioned me for the piece back in 2022 and it provided a fun amount of challenge for me in expirementing with color scheme and posing. At the time, I didn’t have a ton of experience with humanoid characters, so it was as much a learning opportunity as it was an opportunity to help further a friend’s creative vision! It was a fun artwork to make!

“KattieBugg’s Pokemon Team!” -digital, Procreate for iPad (5/25/2023)
This was a really fun commission piece I did for a V-Tuber friend of mine, KattieBugg! She was getting artworks done for her channel via a series of commissions from various smaller artists and creators like myself! I love the team she went with for her Pokemon and to this day am honored to have been a part of the history of her channel!

“The Kanto Region” -digital, Procreate for iPad (7/12/2024)
This is a map for the Kanto region from the videogames, “Pokemon FireRed” and “Pokemon LeafGreen”, which along with the original Kanto region included an archipelago known as The Sevii Islands. I originally sketched this work with pencil on paper before scanning it in to finish digitally. One detail I personally enjoy is that the number of houses I depicted to denote the locations of towns and cities is actually accurate to the number of buildings in game!

“Better than Days Past” -acrylic on canvas (8/9/2020)
Of all the acrylic paintings I’ve made, this one brings me the most joy. It was a piece I was almost entirely ready to give up on. Half way through, I hated how it looked. I ended up running the entire piece under a faucet out of frustration, but afterwards, I saw the potential behind it and ended up finishing it. To this day, I look at it as a symbol of hope. May we all always remember that the storm will pass, and the sun will rise again.
